Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze changes in university students’ purchasing behavior and attitudes toward sustainable consumption in the context of education in sustainability and corporate social responsibility in Slovakia. The research was conducted using a re-test methodology. Students were first surveyed at the beginning of the semester, focusing on their purchasing behavior and attitudes toward sustainable consumption. Subsequently, a re-test was carried out among students who completed a course focused on sustainability and social responsibility. The results indicate that changes in purchasing behavior and attitudes were minimal or non-existent. The study contributes to the ongoing debate on the factors influencing sustainable consumption by highlighting the limited short-term impact of sustainability education on students’ attitudes and behavior, and by pointing to the importance of external factors such as price, availability, and information transparency. These findings suggest that educational interventions should be complemented by broader institutional and market-based measures supporting sustainable choices.
